Jocelyne's interests in making things started at a very young age as a way to share her imagination with friends and family. Her interests in animation lead her to study Multimedia Communications at L'Université de Saint Boniface in Winnipeg, Canada.
Soon after graduating, Jocelyne became the Chief Design Officer of Lumo Interactive Inc., an interactive display software company specializing in gesture and motion reactive signage. Here Jocelyne works directly with clients to help them design & build meaningful and effective interactive experiences and products. Her passion for usability and positive customer experience drives the software and game development team.
Jocelyne believes that making sure products are intuitive and usable is more important than making it look good. Without taking the time to conduct research, develop user stories, rapid prototype solutions, and plenty of user testing your design could be beautiful, but it might not be usable.
With a background in visual design, Jocelyne has developed a unique perspective on how to adapt brands and colors for different environments and display types, like touchscreens and projections. Not only does she value user centered design, she can also make sure the final product will look good and look good on all displays.
In her spare time she’s worked on music videos and award winning short animated films which have screened at film festivals in Canada, Germany and Romania.
